So I wake up Freaking whimpering and I'm down to my last pill. Do you take it or not? What if the next one is worse? Did my lap around the block, paced my deck, etc..... I finally realize that I have "3" refills until this time next year. Figuring that I should try to get some relief, I take it and am able to abort and start my day( exhausted but atleast I can go teach ) Finished with my case load early on and went to refill. NOPE!!!!!! NOT UNTIL JULY 8th!!!!! 14 damn pills are supposed to last 30 days!! HOLY SHIT. I don't mean to whine and actually I'm hanging in there but damn How do you all do it! I am new to the med thing. I "sucked it up" for all these years when they were just at night but now that they come all day long and though a small cycle for many it seems like a long one to me (1 month & I'm sorry if that is nothing to many of you especially the chronic sufferers Sincerely) What do you all do??? The pharmacist (she has them and takes imitrex)suggested trying to get scripts of the same family so that I could alternate days or atleast this way I could extend if necessary. Does anyone do this?? Just tired and needed to vent! You are all very special! Feel well, Eric

Call up your doc cause if he calls your insurance company he might be able to get you pre approved for more meds. (maybe) insurance companies suck!!Good Luck. or try to call (800) 526-3840 if questions regarding ZOMIG or MedPointe Pharmaceuticals. Some companies have programs where they will help you get more meds.

With Trex injections I get 16 vials per month under my insurance. (vials, not autoinjectors) While a vial is technically 1 dose, a clusterhead can get at least 2 doses per vial. I personally get 4 doses per vial... 64 doses per month from 16 covered vials. Others here get their neuros to follow the exception process through their insurer. I have not had to go down that path. I know some here do that with Zomig. Best of luck! Wrokk

Have your Doc write a letter of "Medical Neccesity" to the insurance company.

If they gave me pills I think I'd crush em up and snort em! Seriously. Injections are the way to go! You can split them up for more doses and they act much quicker. If it were me, I'd just go buy the shit... Of course I don't have insurance so that's what I do anyway, but.... How bad do you want/need it? If it were me and I was getting hit real bad I'd do just about anything short of selling my ass on the street to get enough dough for some relief.

Meds . all the doc and insurance suggestions are great, but i'm adding one more idea. .if you're close to mexico . . check there? might be able to get it there . . .very few drugs need scripts there . . but if one is needed, there are lots of docs that take walk-ins . . . *positive light and energy* miapet oh, and do you have o2?

Good suggestions about trying to work with your insurance company. If that fails, consider buying from Canada. My brother and I have used this outfit for 3-years and have found them ethical and give good service www.LePharmacy.com Canada has a system for controlling the quality of drugs, etc. which is as good as the US FDA. I'd be skeptical about buying from other countries because of weak governmental controls over quality, etc. Just read this week that some Rx are coming in from Great Britain but, while I confidence in their systems, I have heard nothing about how buy from sources there.

This is one of the issues that I personally, believe that OUCH should have on the front burner. That is convincing insurance companies and hmos that we ARE NOT migraine patients and our medical needs are much different.
