Hi, I tried zonegram, I was told it was on the same like as topamax without all the side effects. But it didn't work for me. I hope that you have good luck on it and are soon PF. Becky

I take 100mg zonegran and it is helping! Have been on it for about a month now. I could not take topamax because of the side effects. Zonegran doesn't give me any side effects except a bit of drowsiness. I know of another patient of the same neuro clinic that's on this board that is also on zonegran. at this point, it is the first med that hasn't knocked my socks off with side effects and has provided relief. good luck renee

I've been taking zonegran both as a seizure med and to help with the clusters. I think it is OK. It sure beats the heck out of depakote. The only side effect for me is that I lost a ton of weight and I have to literally remember to eat ... it really supresses the hunger drive for me. The cycle of cluster attacks that just recently ended for me was very severe. I cannot tell if zonegran had anything to do with the severity but do know that things got better when I increased my verapamil, which I also take. I was due for a more severe cluster cycle, I think, as the last couple were fairly mild comparatively, that is if mild is ever a word that can be used to refer to a cluster attack. Bill
