Cycles Over

Just thought I'd give a quick synopsis of this last cycle. First off, it was my first cycle since the fall of 2001....that's the longest I've ever gone between episodes. The only thing I did different BETWEEN cycles this time was try chiropractic care for an unrelated ailment. I will say that while I know this won't prevent clusters, it did bring me great relief in and around the neck area.....in a nutshell I think it may have prolonged my pf time. I started having shadows, or as I used to call them before I became aware of this site, mini's, back in November. I didn't get a real humdinger until late January. The meds I used this time were Kepra (which staved them off pretty good for a while), Verap, Gabitril, Zomig inhaler, and two 10 day pred tapers. Oh, and of course 02. Had a couple of bad weeks, but all in all it was one of the best cycles, (if there is such a fucking thing), that I've ever had. Side effects from some of the meds were rather unpleasant, but the alternative, for me, is much worse. Don't know if this helps anyone.

Buckeye, "Clusterheads are a rare breed," you say. I say since there are so few of us in the population, relatively, that "Clusterheads are rarely bread." Bill

Good news buckeye. What a great feeling it is when you know the cluster is over. BTW - I am going to give you a call one of these evenings.

The question seems to be whether the chiropractic care made any difference...I too get that nasty knot in my neck. Got to wonder about that... Glad to hear you in the clear for a while. Know the feeling-about 2 weeks since stopping topamax and all seems well!
