Cell Cept (Mycophenolate Mofetil) is an immunosuppressant used with other medicines to prevent organ rejection following kidney, liver, or heart transplants. I was told by doctors at MHNI that clusterheads that do well with steriods may benefit from this drug without many of the side effects that come with steriods (ie. Prednisone). Anyone heard of clusterheads doing this drug ? I will be trying this drug as a preventative. Blood tests every week are required. Unsolved

Unsolved-- Thanks for posting. I do pretty well on Prednisone. (Prednisone is also, from what little I understand, can also be used as an immuno-suppresant just like Cell Cept.) I see my neuro in Boston next week. I'll ask him if he's had any experience with it. It's SOOOO nice to know that there are new drugs coming out on the market that may be helpful for CH. It makes me hopeful. Thanks!
