Seeking suggestions on additional meds. Doctors appt coming up on Monday. Cycle going into week 9. Current Abortive == Imitrex Tablets. Changing that to Imitrex Injections. Also on o2. Other suggestions to try in place of the Trex once on occasion? Cafergot? Current Preventative == Topamax Wrapping up 3rd failed Prednisone taper now. Started ramping up the Topamax really slowly a week ago... dose still to low to have an effect. Also on Magnesium and Melatonin. Suggestions on an additional preventatives that will not conflict with the Topa? Verapamil? Baclofen? Many thanks all. Rock

Rock, I am on verapamil now and doc says if we need to abut the prevent with something, her next move will be topamax. I do not know if this ok myself by personal experience though yet. Kevin M

There are many drugs out there being used for CH now including the following: Lithium, Depakote, Keppra, Neurotin, Zyprexa, Visterill, Verapamil, etc. No cocktail has worked for me (so far) but others have found relief in some of these. Goodluck Unsolved

Maybe verapamil PLUS lithium? Also, if the melatonin isn't working, maybe you could juggle the dose in conjunction with your MD. 0.5mg works for me, others take up to 12 mg. It could be that either too much OR too little doesn't work. There's always psilocybin. I hope you get a working regimen in place soon.
