I've had a couple now and they only last for 4 days for me. Hope you have better luck. But for me the take a big ass needle and jam it into your head and "Freeze" the nerve so that the you cant feel the pain as the nerve cant send the signal. For the last one I had a radio frecquency procedure done on my occipital nerve as well as a nerve block. As I said the nerve block lasted 4 days. I was still having the HA just could not feel the pain with it. The RF has taken the HA down a knotch but they are quickly getting back up to the regular level of intensity for me. I suggest having one and see if it works for you. Each of us get different releif in different ways formt he beast. So try it out. Tiannia

There are several different kinds of nerve blocks. Each has it's own procedure. I've had: 3 Sphenopalatine blocks, 5 Occipital nerve blocks, and the Radio Frequency procedure. Sphenopalatine = Sticks up the nose !! (that was scary) Occipital = Needles to the back of the head !! (no big deal) RF = They put you asleep for. Needles to the neck. (painless) Unsolved

I just had 2 nerve blocks this Tuesday. One in the supra orbital notch and one in the supra trochlear notch. These are notches just above the eyeball towards the inside of upper orbital area. This is my second time for these nerve blocks. I've also had the occipital nerve block in the past but it didn't last very long. These blocks from this weeky have helped my ch pain for 30 plus days. What type of nerve block is your neuro discussing with you? good luck renee
