No luck for me at 1000mg a day either....tried it for 3 weeks....headaches got worse. My wife is on it though as an ant-siezure drug... at 1000mg a day, she experienced hair loss, she is now on 500 a day and added topomax to the mix and the hair loss has stopped. I switched to Verapapamil 480 a day and it works great for me.

I have had pretty decent luck with it. I used to get good results with 250mg twice a day, but this year's cycle seemed to require a boost. It took 500mg twice a day to kick it. I was already loosing my hair, and didn't notice any increase. My only side effect is it seems to have effected my concentration and speed of recollection somewhat, especially when first upping the dose. Worth it though since it seems to help with all but the worst part of the cycle. I still need imitrex then up to several times a day. Good luck!
