Yesterday evening I had a KIP 5 going on when I took my magnesium tablet and vitamin pills (altogether 470 mg magnesium) and what do you know, the pain went away and stayed away the rest of the evening! Grin
Perhaps a one-off thing, but a PF night is a PF night!

Best wishes,

Wow...you and I need to talk!!! Grin  I am also having tentatively good results with taking magnesium supplements.   Even a small dose (250 mg) as a combo pill with calcium made a major difference so I plan to take a separate pill tomorrow in addition to the calcium to see if I can make the shadows go away.  Melatonin levels do not seem to be an issue for me...at least not this round.   What I can tell you is that I have been on this supplement for 6 days while getting off of Topamax.  I have been off the Topamax for 5 days and thought for sure I would have a CH last night or night before.  Have had the shadows but no headaches.  Taking the magnesium also has helped with other issues I had....I am less anxious, have fewer muscle twitches and my plumbing is working better  Grin    I looked up information on the web about magnesium deficiency and found that I sure do have 90% of the symptoms of this (everything but high blood pressure).   So, this may have been a major issue for me...at least this round.
