More info on Frova

Just went back to the neuro today for Plan C and we talked about Frova, the new triptan which several have discussed lately on several postings. As noted earlier, it is very new so not lots of info out there yet. He agreed that results have been mixed.....some CHs can get great relief with it since it does stay in the body much longer than other triptans. Some have been able to use it as somewhat of a preventative. However, some people do tend to find that this effect wears off....for some quicker than others. One other issue that has not been discussed is that it is expensive and many insurance companies will not cover it. Some neuros do have samples on hand so that's probably the best way to see if it will help you. I am trying a low dosage melatonin experiment tonite and will let folks know how that goes....higher dose gave me regular headache all day.

Going to grab my prescription of Frova tomorrow as well and indeed it's not covered by insurance. Big whoop. At least I'm not barred from receiving a potential life saver as was almost the case when I tried out Clomid. Gonna be shrooming it toward the end of the month but will have plenty of time to evaluate and report the findings on Frova. Good luck Henzey.
