Hi all, spoke to soon after a 2 year sabatical from clusters, my neuro tried me on Frova 2.5 x 2 daily, 7 days...to hopefully end this cycle..after completeting 7 day of dosing, (pain free during dosing and 2 nights follwing) seems THEIR BACK and I'm back on nasal imitrex at start-up of noctural attacks...Go figure I was just so sure this would end this cycle..what a disappointment...hoping tonight is PF and maybe last night was just a tease CH...

Thanks for letting us know. This may be one of my options as I am entering a longer than usual episode and Topamax was working but killing me otherwise. Did you find that it was any easier to sleep with Flova that Imitrex or other triptans?

didnt have any ill-effect from the Frova, other than it's effeccts were not as FAR REACHING as i had hoped, in the grand scheme of things..After an imitrex snort, I'm pretty exhausted, but my attacks are usually around 2AMish..so I'm awakened from a sleep, snort, wait, a back to sleep, to get up at 6:40 am...until this cycle passes...GL all, PF night and says

Guess my instructions for taking the Frova was different from yours. Seems you were taking it 2x's a day, for 7 days. My doc told me to take it at onset of the headache. Of course, when I was in cycle, my hits came at 2:30 - 3:30 a.m. Kinda hard to take it at onset....when that bastard woke me out of dead sleep! However.....it NEVER prevented me from getting the ha's. It just shortened the time of the ha. Your wife was nice enough to send me an email. I have not answered her....and I apologize. I have been out of town since Monday. Sorry to hear that your good luck ran out. Have you tried a Prednisone taper?? Not everyone has luck with it. But it stopped my CH in it's tracks. Today is 151 days pf for me. Alot of sufferers here had bad side effects from it....but other than an anxiety attack at the end of taper...all went well for me. PF vibes.....and best wishes Jean

Me again, Well this cycle is over, I have to RANK THE FROVA as overall successful as it did keep the headaches away for 9 night, and the return was shortlived, so yes, i raise my beer mug to FROVA as resonably successful with my nasal imitrex as backup. SHORTEST cycle EVER Good luck to all and PF days and night
