Neurontin + Verapamil Therapy

Hi. I have had cluster headaches for about four years now. During the first two years, I tried almost every therapy; Imitrex, Maxalt, Prednisone, Oxygen, Lamictal, Topamax, etc... My wife is a Doctor and as a result she was able to tailor drugs and dosages to control my headaches almost 95% of the time. When a cluster does strike, it is much more mild and I am no longer in severe pain. I take 600mg of Neurontin (Gabapentin) nightly, and 360mg of Verapamil in the morning with 120mg at night (with the Neurontin). For any breakthrough head which starts to develop into something more, I immediately take Ultracet (Tramadol and Tylenol), this seems to abort the headache in its tracks. I have found myself reaching for the Ultracet less and less and the days of taking percocet are almost entirely gone. I would say that I am 99% under control. Hope this is informative. Jason
