Propranolol instead of Verapamil

I've read all the posts about CH sufferers and various sinus problems. I was going through a horrible cycle K9's and 10's (several ER trips) when they diagnosed me with sinus polyps and a deviated septum. I've since had 2 reconstructive surgeries and that has actually knocked the CH's intensity back to a K6 at worste. I've tried several preventative therapies ie. depakote, verapamil, all with horrible side effects. My ENT, not my neuro, told me that he had seen some reports and successfully tried propranolol instead of verapamil. It may just be in my particular instance, but the propranolol 60mg/day has all but gotten rid of the CH's. I still have shadows a few times a week, but life is definitely better. I was just wondering if anyone else had had any success switching from verapamil (a calcium channel blocker) to propranolol (a beta blocker) or any of the other numerous beta blockers?

Beta blockers do alot for migraines... I don't recall any favorable comments on this MB about it for CH. I took it for about a month with 0 results. However, everything I have tried thus far has had 0 results. I am probably not a good source for opinionated info.
