Hi Group! My Neuro is going to start me on 300 mg. of Lithium a day, along with my Verapamil. I'm a little daunted. Would anyone like to share thier experiences? Give any advice? Thanks, Vi

I like it with a little cream and sugar Some short term mem. problems, hard to concentrate sometimes, going from chronic to episodic, priceless. Hope it works for U, 6-900 mg is my deal and only Lithobid (brand name) worked for me. Good luck! Lee

480 mgs Verapamil.....600 mgs Lithium everyday for 13 years....this chronics savior. If you take Lith for more than six months you need to have blood work done just to see that you dont go toxic. Do not decrease your salt intake because Lithium robs the body of sodium, also do not drink excesive amounts of water cause that waters down the sodium in your body. Talk to your doctor!!! ...............................jonny

I used to take 900mg of lithium/day and it reduced my 8ch to 4ch/day. It worked for a couple of years for me then lost its effectivness. I would recomend it highly. Good luck!

Like Jonny, I'm taking 480 mg Verapamil, but my neuro has boosted the lithium to 900 mg/day. I haven't yet been classified as chronic, so I'll be trying to taper off one or the other after I see him on Friday. The lithium makes me a little shaky, and has given me some short term memory loss. Nothing that keeps me from doing what I gotta do, though. Bill

I took it once, it made a Zombie out of me for two days. It stripped me of my personality and made me quiet and listless

Hi , I use Lithium and Verapamil regularly, for me this is a magic combo... I’ve used it in hight dosages without side effects (maybe because I’m still young). I’ve read and hear bad side-effects about Lithium but, at the moment for me it works so it is OK . As written above, you make blood examinations regularly... Good luck..... Zaira
