I'm taking 300mg daily, with no side effects of note to report. Most people I know taking it also would tell you the same thing little if any side effects. My Doc says great things about it for CH, and says getting the dose dialed in for each person is the key. At 100mg my CH became very irregular intense but short in duration, at 200mg the CH's became even more irregular, just as intense, but less frequent and usually short in duration 30 to 45 mins. At 300mg the CH's have become very infrequent hiting perhaps twice a day/night the day attack is an irregular event, the intensity has decreased as well as the duration (now about 15-30 min). The night attack is like clock work now hitting around 1:30 a.m. usually lasts about 30-45 min often I can get through it with a glass of cold water and sitting in front of the fan. I suspect I'll go to 400mg on my check up on the 23rd. Doc says lots of good things about this stuff, I hope he's right. As far as the drug itself goes as I understand it, Zonegran is pretty ineffective, taken with other like medications and they become VERY GOOD ani seizure meds. Hope that helps.
