as i don't get on with preventatives, my doc has prescribed naramig, (naratriptan hydrochloride), has anyone heard of these? Only had them a few days, seem to ok so far, not as good as my trusty injecter, obviously from the triptan fam, can see the resemblance. just wondered if anyone had heard of them/ was using them

I have used Narramig - I find them quite good, although not quick enough - I take disprin with them - the disprin gets there quicker and helps me through the time waiting for the Narramig to kick in.

Cleon, having read the info on them now, i see where my doc is coming from, i do not get on with preventatives, the naramig(amerge) , does not reach full potency till 4 hrs. i no longer get night attacks(sleep with a ceiling fan on all night), but i get 3-8 attacks during the day, being chronic too, this means a lot of painkillers constantly, with naramig, they seem to stop most of the day attacks too, fingers crossed. shame about the side effects, could make a good preventive. have to take one imm feel the beast rising, wouldn't like to rely on one to get rid of a full in swing attack( be over before it started working)

Do try the Disprin with the Narramig - I take up to 3. Wouldnt Oxygen help too? Have you tried it? Good luck!

thanks Cleon, have had them a few days now, they are not much use against imm attack, but as you say, taken with others, seem ok, they prevent further attacks ok, which is great. haven't tried o2 yet, gotta see doc about it
