Hello everyone, I am involved with scientific information research. I have access to Medline databases and I finally got a chance to do some searching on recent medical treatments or studies about CHs. Has anyone tried posterior hypothalamic stimulation? Another recent drug I have read about is called Civamide? Has anyone had any experiences with the above? -HypnoticFreddy

Isn't Civamide the synthetic capsaicin? The last clinical trial was a test of it in a nasal cream. Capsaicin is a natural analgesic and is the hot in all hot peppers. It helps...a little.

| I went through the Civamide trial last year and yes I think it is a synthetic capsaicin. The form that I used was a nasal spray twice a day for a week and as far as I could tell it did nothing for my clusters...but, it sure did burn the hell out of my nose Jim
