Rizatriptan?

OK, so I saw the doctor today, who nodded politely while I explained the symptoms of what I have, and then wrote me a prescription for Ritatriptan.  They're 10mg, and "wafers" - apparently, something like those "flying saucer" sweets we used to have as kids. Well, we did in the UK, anyway.

I'll let you know if they help me at all, I guess.  I can feel an attack about to pounce right about now. Damn.

Yes, murrazio, Rizatriptan is the generic name for Maxalt, an abortive medication used on migrane and cluster headaches. Users at this site have reported mixed results using it. It is a vasoconstrictor and comes in either dissolvable wafers or pill form. Works like a charm in combination with oxygen for me, but others have reported that it doesn't touch the beast.

Best,

Bill
