Verapamil

I've been taking Verapamil now for almost a month and I'm still getting these damn headaches - every day!  I got two of them yesterday and I woke up with a horrible one early this morning.  In past episodes, I remember the medication starting to work within the first week or so.  I don't understand why it's not working now.   Perhaps I need to increase my dosage?  Any suggestions?  Advice?  Anything?

Good question.  I have no idea.  I don't have the pills on me right now  but I'll check.  I do know that I'm taking half a blue pill per my doctor's instruction.

Since the largest dose of vewrap they make 240mg and you're taking 1/2 a tab, the most you could be taking is 120mg.  Not even close to being effective for most sufferers.  Some go as high as 1080mg a day before it works.

This dosage usually works for me, but perhaps I do need an adjustment.  Thanks!

What Bob P said ... ditto. I took 720mg/day last cycle along with a Prednisone blast. Up your dosage and see if that helps.

I checked my dosage and I believe it's 180.  I'm taking half of that each day.

You are not on enough at all Jewel......call your doc and tell him you're upping your dosage - see what he/she says.  Also check out the buttons on the side for various medications.....

Hope you feel better soon,
Mia
