End of shrooms?

I am posting it here, for I don't  want to start a general stampede...

Last night a Spanish visitor to Amsterdam jumped out of a first floor (one above ground floor) hotel window and got hurt pretty bad. Police have now given out the information that the man was under the influence of shrooms.

This may see the end of legal shrooms in this country,  with the repressive government we are having... Our PM looks like Harry Potter and actually asks his parents for advice in governing the country!

For those concerned with shrooms, it is not certain why the man jumped and if shrooms had anything to do with it at all. He had had them and that is all we know.

I will try and follow this bit of news and report. Undoubtedly those in the know will have their own channels.

Seeing what small deses are really necessary to combat clusters I am not afraid for myself. Just for impossible legislation. Better start growing them, I guess.

And I am such a dunce with plants too.

Well, Ave, the good news is that mushrooms are not really plants at all, but fungus. As such, they are substantially easier to grow. The other good news is that as yet you can still get them at your friendly neighborhood "paddo shop". I suggest you buy a bunch right now and dry them for longterm storage. Dried properly, they can retain their potency for two years or so.

And who knows? It may be that the legislators in Holland will ignore the PM's wishes on this particular issue anyway.

Just one ?, if this same man had been drinking scotch or smoking pot would the expected reaction be the same?

If someone jumps and has ingested a hallucinogenic drug then that naturally gets blamed.  This all started when a girl killed herself in the early 70s.  Her parents refused to believe there wasn't some external factor (I mean it's not like teenagers kill themselves every day is it?  When did you last hear of one?), so they claimed she had taken LSD.  No LSD showed up in her bloodstream, so they claimed it was some days prior to her jumping.  That is how the LSD makes teenagers jump off of high buildings story started.  EROWID has more information on this.

The only drug know to increase the risk of flight delusions is PCP.  Totally unrelated.

Here in the UK a young actress died last week after being found on the ground underneath her boyfriends balcony, where she was last seen.  She had taken cocaine and alcohol prior to her death.  So did those substances make her think she could fly?  Did she jump?  Did she fall?  Was she pushed?  Who knows?

Perhaps they should do a survey on how many 'jumpers' had cornflakes for breakfast in the weeks prior to their death, or watched a soap opera.

In all honesty CH is far more likely to convince me to take a header of the 16th floor that shrooms.   I'm scared to turn on the fuckin TV when I take too many shrooms let alone go near the fuckin window... and my bedroom is at ground level.
