I havn't seen a thread started here about this drug yet...My CF cycle started a month ago and I checked out this site after a three year absence...Under new treatments on the OUCH site I seen the very small article on Baclofen..I printed it out and gave it to my doc...and he prescribed it to me...its only been two days so I can not tell yet if this is going to help Has anyone else tried it???? Please post something if you have...or have heard of any other studies besides the small article on the OUCH site. Imitex injections work great for me...but I cannot inject up to four or five times a day ( thats the number of CF's I get in the middle of my cycle ). BTW I'am trying the water treatment, if anyone is interested I left a post under that heading. State 42 yr old CF suffer from WI

The memory of a chronic ch'er is not always what it should be, but...I know Baclofen has been discussed here before. My advise: search it out on the new board and in the old board archives. I know there is something out there, I just don't remember what was said about it. Good luck and make sure you keep us posted.

I used baclofen beginning in Feb. 2002. At first I thought that it would have good results. I, am chronic, and I began having one month remissions, followed by one month of CH, then a remission again, and so on. This lasted about a year and then stopped. I became chronic all the time. baclofen, like so many drugs, seems, for me at least. to work briefly, and then stop. It is certainly worth a try, so keep with it and you might have good results.

My husband was recently put on Baclofen, along with Lithium, Depakote, and Melatonin at bedtime. It has only been a short time, but so far so good.
