I STRANGLE MYSELF

HI ALL. MAYBE THIS SOUND CRAZY BUT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ABORT EVERY ATTACK FOR THE LAST 3 DAYS BUY PUTTING MY HAND BEHIND MY NECK AND SQUEEZING HARD. ALMOST LIKE STRANGLING YOURSELF BUT NOT FROM THE FRONT, FROM THE BACK. NORMALLY WHEN I WAKE UP WITH AT ATTACK NOTHING MUCH ABORTS IT IMMEDIATELY EXEPT FOR IMIGRAM. THE REST TAKES A WHILE. BUT WHEN I WAKE UP WITH AN ATTACK AND WITHOUT GETTING OUT OF BED JUST GRAB MY NECK AND SQUEEZE IT ABORTS IT IMMEDIATELY. MAYBE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH BLOCKING OFF THE BLOOD FLOW TO THE HEAD. TRY IT AND LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS FOR ANY OF YOU. (DON'T SQUEEZE TOO LONG) I KNOW IT CAN BE TEMPTING WHEN IN PAIN.

Debby, the "unusual" is usual around here! Over the years pressure points have worked for some, others use hot water, head in the freezer, hair dryer aimed at the side of your head, banging your head on the wall, and on it goes.
Success is its own reward.....

WOULD HATE SOMEONE TO KILLS THEMSELVES TRYING TO BE PAIN FREE. AND PLEASE, WHEN YOU GET DIZZY STOP SQUEEZING FOR A WHILE. DONT PASS OUT

If you do this necking squeezing "therapy", please be very careful not to squeeze the sides of your neck!
There is a spot under the carotid artery known as the vagus nerve which, when pressure is applied, can bring your heart to a dangerously low rate.

I sometimes stop the demon by trapping the main vein in my right wrist using two fingers from my left, untill you feel the vein throb, tight does not always mean better, the stronger you feel the throb, the less the attack, anything from a 5 and below will work, unfortunately a 6 and above and WALLOP-ATTACK

Yes I have tried that also, trust me there will be a time when that won't work. It may make the pain worse. Soory I can not suggest anything that works 100%. I am looking for help myself. I am currenlty in a cycle and am trying prednisone. I think it helped. You need to see a nuerologist. GOOD LUCK

LANDED UP AT THE DOCTOR WHEN I STARTED CUTTING DOWN AS MY HEART STARTED BEATING LIKE A CHICKEN AND WAS ON ECG FOR A WHILE. AS FOR A NEUROLOGIST - BEEN THERE DONE THAT. I AM 33 AND HAVE HAD ATTACKS SINCE I WAS 15. ONE DAY ONE OF US WILL COME UP WITH THE CURE FOR THIS TERRIBLE THINKG - WE MUST JUST KEEP TRYING. I WOULD HATE MY CHILDREN TO SUFFER AS I DO.

Congratulations on the success of your treatment.
I have been successfully aborting CH using pressure on the back of my neck for over 40 years. This method does work for a few people.

I've used a hard pillow - scruntched it tight behind my neck & pushed my head back hard onto it.
Within 10 minutes my head felt as though it were numb or had "fallen asleep" & the pain was brought WAY down, then gone.

That's a really cold and uncaring thing to say. Sure Jonny has an interesting sense of humor, but he is a great supporter and has gone out of his way numerous times to help out those he hardly knows. Why make an attack on him out of the blue? (or was that your own "interesting" sense of humor) Either way, If I were you I'd make a post clarifying what you meant before things get going.
