Bloodletting---have you tried it?

To All,

As many people do, I give blood at the Red Cross every 4 to 6 months.

Until last Friday I had been getting hit 1 to 10 times a day for the last 6 weeks.  Gave blood Friday morning and haven’t had a CH since.  Must be connected.

Has anyone else had a similar experence?

Maybe the old time practice of bloodletting had merit, at least for clusterheads. ;D Wink

Sounds interesting Rick but do you think maybe your cycle might just be ending now?  Hope so for you anyway.

Rick,
I haven't tried it but I have read many posts (or replies to posts) that say it has helped them.  Look through the archives.  Keep us posted on how this is wroking for you.

Yesterday I Had a very mild CH. But I still believe there has been some positive elements from giving blood. I am nearing the end of my cycle (that started in Jan. 2003) but it normally tapers off slowly. (to maybe one CH per week for a month or so) I will post agian on this subject if and when there is more news.

A very much more interesting notion is, that
operations, great changes in life rythm and other severe shocks to the system may stop a cycle in its tracks - that time only.

I know we don't think much of giving blood but it IS a shock to the system.
When I was a donor myself I met a man who claimed his high bp had disappeared as a result of giving blood.

Which is utter nonsense. Blood pressures has nothing to do with having "too much" blood. Besides, your body restores the amount of blood in a very short time.
