Does anyone get significant facial flushing/lowered threshold (like cheeks, ears, etc..) & does your CH treatment help that along with the other vasodilating effects in the nose & eye?

I have been told that my chest/neck gets flushed BEFORE I get an attack. I am not currently taking any preventatives. And to be honest, once an attack starts, I have never noticed if the flushing continues, diminishes, or spreads before or after I take any meds. PEACE AND LOVE, Georgia

Yes, this is reported to be a minor experience but my impression is--not a very common reaction. Some folks experience as a little sweating on the forehead and/or cheeks.

When I get an attack, my body temperature rises dramatically or I get the tingles in my back and head ...the "someone's walking over my grave" syndrome. I haven't had it so much since I've been on topamax, but I'm getting off that cause it does nothing for my headaches, so maybe I'll notice it more again. I was flushed, but it was because my body temp went sky high. Amber

Hi Billy, When I get a CH my right eye gets red and waters, my sinus swells up and my face definitely gets flushed. I had assumed this was because of the Extreme rise in blood pressure. During a really bad one I sweat too. At times my scalp is sensitive on the CH side after a bad headache. michael c

When I have a bad attack I get really hot and sweat and shake also. The only thing that has worked for me is the trex shots. O2 if I can get it early. I get the red eye and swollen but my eye only waters when it is really bad.
