I posted this question in an earlier forum, but I think the interest is waning (as it should!!! )...I'm the schmuck who left every bit of CH meds at home (I was not in the middle of a cycle, but lessons have been learned, certainly). Some of you have suggested going to a fire station for Oxygen. I'm curious.... Do you simply waltz in and say: "I need some O2, got a CH". Would there not be a liability issue (from their perspective)? Any info woudl be appreciated... B

Brian - I've never tried a fire station, but I think firefighters are protected legally by some "good samaritan" laws - can't be held liable while trying to help, etc... I may be wrong on this. Also, I'm not sure how you could actually convince them you needed it without a script from a doc. Good question tho. Forgetting the meds? been there, done that, just not quite so far from home. domm

Domm, That's precisely my point....Not that Oxygen is a "narcotic", but I still think there HAS to be something odd about doing that. If anyone knows what verbiage you should "use", I'd appreciate it. Push comes to shove, I go to ER, but hell, if I can get this to work, I am all for it....

I think it was Linda who had to do this before and it worked. So, the suggestion was being made because it has been successfully tried before.

Say, this is an interesting one. I bet if I went to a firehouse and told the paramedics that I was having a cluster headache attack, need some oxygen but don't want to go to the hospital, they'd call and get the advice they need from the local ER where they would have taken me. When it aborts the attack, I would look so obviously happy and fine that they'd probably not even write it up. If it didn't abort it, I might ask for a ride.... If I get the gumption later on, I might ride by the local station here and ask. My bottles are low but not empty and I could be in dire straits by Sunday PM... Old Dave

Jayniewaynie has walked across the street to the fire house when she got hit at work. But then, she is prettier than Brian or Dave. ;D
