Cluster Preventatives

Despite some new preventatives that have not worked particularly well(Topomax, natural ones such as melatonin/Coenzyme Q10), we are usually back to the staples of verapamil, lithium, indomethacin, short courses of prednisone, etc. What we desperately need are better, more effective preventatives; the drug companies are working on them, primarily for chronic daily headache, and we all hope that these corss over and help clusters as well. Meanwhile, I just published a report on Botox for clusters, where it was not particularly effective BUT some people did very well(I put that study, as well as hundreds of others, on http://www.headachedrugs.com). Hi Doc Robbins. Glad to see you're still around. Hadn't heard from you in a while and thought maybe we'd lost you. Thanks for your informative site and continued efforts to help us clusterheads. Bob Pahlow, President OUCH
