Maxalt, Kaiser, and other stupidities

Just wanted to relate an experience I had this a.m. with Kaiser, and to ask a general question about Maxalt. I called my primary care physician yesterday, and told him that the standard prescription amount of Maxalt (3 per month) wasn't enough. He said he would fax a request for 10 per month (30 for 100 days). When I went to the pharmacy, they tried to give me 9 again, stating that the manufacturer recommends no more than 3 per month. (Even though the instructions say that a patient can take up to 3 in a 24 hour period. I guess I'd better not have more than one CH per month, eh?) Anyway, after much fuss, they gave me 27 tablets, with the standard warning about side effects. I think they were just being cheap. Anyway, my question to all is if you have had any severe side effects with Maxalt MLT 10 mg. I get ok results...not great. Amerge did NOTHING. I also take Verapamil. Does anyone know of any real (not imagined) dangers with taking Maxalt? Hopefully, I'll see a neurologist on the 11th of December. We'll see what he or she says. P.S. The icon I found for my profile says "gopher", but does anyone remember the real name for him? Penfold! He was from the British cartoon Dangermouse! Anyone remember that show? I loved it! It was hilarious!!!   ;D ;D
