Hello, I was wondering if any of you have read the following books. Did you find them at all helpful? I am thinking of buying them to try to research any way that I can help my husband during his clusters. Cluster Headaches: Treatment and Relief for Cluster, Cluster Migraine, and Recurring Eye-Stab Pain Headache Survival: The Holistic Medical Treatment Program for Migraine, Tension, and Cluster Headaches Treating Sinus, Migraine, and Cluster Headaches, My Way: An Allergist's Approach to Headache Treatment Thanks for any opinions.

you'll probably find that you can find the same (or better) information right here for free. what is your husband currently doing in the way of meds? oxygen? abortives? we have a pretty big databank here from which to draw. and lots of supporters who fight right alongside their spouses. feel free to ask anything - and check out the Supporters' Corner and the Family Services Team, over at the OUCH website.

I agree with Margi, Lots of info on here and the OUCH website. Plus you have the benefit of being able to ask us which treatments work the best, because we all agree that it's different for all of us. Where are you from? UK? Steve

I agree with Margi and Steve, study first all the information available from this site and OUCH (http://www.clusterheadaches.org). Regarding the books you have listed: It's always highly suspicious if someone wants to treat sinus headaches, migraine and cluster headaches in one sweep. These maladies are too different. An allergist's approach of treating CH only can bring failure. Clusters have nothing to do whatsoever with allergies and you would probably be mis-treated for sinus troubles for years. We not only want to "survive" cluster headaches (most do) but to find a suitably treatment to diminish the pain. The 'holistic' approach with his wishy washy and psycho babble brings only one result: filling the pockets of the scam artist. Beware of someone who puts tension headaches and cluster headaches in the same sentence, they are entirely different beasts and therefore require different treatments. The use of the term 'Cluster Migraine' in the title shows that the knowledge base of the author is rather outdated. As a final note: When making a reference to a book, please always also give the author(s) and publisher. All the best to you and hubby. Ueli
