We are being invaded by Con Men. I received a message today addressed to Barbee, and this is the only place I use that name. The E-letter sender said he was some official in an African bank, and had discovered a bank account that no one knew about, and needed someone here to deposit it for him. All he wanted was personal info from me, and my bank, account number, etc. Hey, we have headaches, but we're not stupid!

You're right about the scam. It's been around for a long time. I believe they caught up with some of the originators of this thing. It won't go away though. It's like the 5 cent email tax. Your email is the same one that I get a couple times a month. You gotta wonder why people go for it. Charlie

I don't want to wake ghosts, but this is not good! I work in a bank in South Africa, and yeah definately scam, be careful everybody. But fine, I tend to be over cautious and have been accussed of jumping to conclussions before, but coincidence that this happened at same time as the con artist with the mouth gaurds and massage tools appear?

I've replied to 2 (snipped the details) and told them to send me the money, but they never wrote me back.

I've seen this scam. I also got an email from somebody pretending to be a lawyer in England. Unclaimed money or somesuch. Seems he needed some of my $$ to shake the other money free. Ain't that something?
