Hi PETEH, If you "know" that Imitrex causes rebound headaches you've got your definition of rebound wrong. It's in the nature of CH that whether you abort an attack or not, the next attack will come anyway. And that it is: a new attack, not a rebound. Read in the OUCH library about the lack of rebounds from Imitrex: http://www.clusterheadaches.org/library/medications/imitrex_rebound.htm PFNADs Ueli

Cafergot kept me PF with out 1 CH for 6 years and no side effacts, BUT it was pulled from the market last year because it did not make enough money and Ercaf was pulled as well. If by some chance you know where this wonder pill can be picked up Then please let me know. Rod.

Ueli is correct, Imitrex doesn't cause rebounds. Cafergot will cause rebounds. I have taken 30 tablets a weeks for 12 to 14 weeks during a cluster with no side effects nor rebounds. Don't even tell me cafergot/ercaf is gone! Last cluster I went through all of the triptans and wound up back with cafergot. I was counting on it for my next bout. If this is true, what a snafu. The triptans are so expensive the insurance won't cover them and then they take the cheap stuff off the market. Go figure.
