??? ??? ??? When the shadows start I run for the oxygen. Ten minutes at 12 l/m, and the CH is headed off at the pass. BUT it comes back big time about 1 or 2 hours later, and then comes the triptans, the ice pack, the pacing the floor, hitting the head, etc. You know the routine. So is the oxygen worth it???

How do you know those shadow's couldn't have turned into big ones without the Oxygen? Then you might have had a bunch of big ones instead of just one. I have aborted shadows and full blown CH's with Oxygen. Sometimes I need a bit of extra help from the Imitrex with the Oxygen for a bad one. My thought for what it's worth - why mess with success - it might not get everyone of these bad boys but if it works even part of the time then I'm happy. Chris L

Barbee, when I had no medication, I used to get hit at night every two hours, whatever I did. Reading this board I find I am by no means the only one. Maybe the second is "just" the next attack instead of the continuance of the first...

I agree with Ave. Just to clarify - a few weeks ago I was getting hit every hour. The O2 was taking care of them after 10 minutes or so. I belive they were all individual Ch's and not the continuation of one. The last one was a beaut and I took a shot of Imitrex with the O2. It went away in 5 minutes. Chris L
