the other night I posted a message "need help badly". I was feeling very desperate for my husband who suffers CH. I found this site when I was trying to get info to help my husband, so I posted without introducing myself. My husband Paul, has been suffering for about 10years with CH,although only diagnosed about 4 years ago. We do not know too much about this beast, but have learnt a lot since browsing on this site. He is in clusters now but before that he had a free time for about 18 months. He has just lost his job, and the clusters started about 1 week later. It could have been co-incidental but I was wondering if you think stress has anything to cause these to come on. It has been about 2 weeks since they started again, after my message the other night, I took him to the doctor while he was having another one the next day, doctor has given him verapamil, but only a low dosage until they work out what dosage he needs. doctor wants to see him once a week till they sort it out. also the blood test was ok except his triglyserites (wrong spelling) is sky high, so has to go on a strict diet. do you think this has anything to do with the headaches? want to thank all those who reponded to my message. Its good to know support is close by. I know how much hell sufferers go through, but its not easy being the partner of a sufferer, feel so helpless. PS I'll have to teach my husband how to use PC's so he can got online when he needs to talk to someone. thanks cobie (australia)
