Hi we are new here my husband is a sufferer and has been for 20 some years. We have tried just about everything. Was wondering if anyone has had luck with Maxalt or Ritalin. Have been reading on it and would like to hear more. Also if anyone knows of good doctors in Fairbanks or North Pole Ak. Went to clinic yesterday and people didnt have a clue. They tried to treat for normal migrane. Thanks

Giz, You need a neuro. Hopefully one who undertstands and who can give you the meds your hubby needs. I haven't tried either of those - I am doing Pred, Imitrex injections at onset, and O2. They work for me. Chris L

Maxalt has been mentioned at this board before, some with success, some not. I don't remember anyone saying they've tried ritalin. Click the 'medical info' button on the left side of the screen. There are meds mentioned there that be be useful to your husband. By the way, the wife and I visited North Pole a few years ago. Our second grandaughter was born there when our son was stationed at Eielson. Nice misquitos!
