Is there anyone out there who is currently just using oxygen without meds of any kind to handle their cycle? It's the approach I am taking for the first time and I think being without the rebound/drug stupor is beneficial. (so far) Thanks

Yup. I just use O2. Not sure if there was another question in there or not though.

Been on the Imitrex/Amerge/02 for 9 yrs of being chronic. After Aug........I doubt I will have the triptans, because I won't have Ins. anymore, but you can bet your bottom dollar I will still use the 02 to abort. Linda

Yep....just o2....all I can afford.......NO insurance....altho I got a few hits of (injectable) Imitrex samples from my GP.......it worked but the rebound HAs were ugly and I didn't like the "greasy" rush......currently taking Robaxin/methocarbamol as a preventative...don't know if it's working or if I just cycled out....am PF tho........ ;D please see my post under "preventives....just a waste" or sumting like dat...hope you find your "key".....

Hey Kari, I use O2 as an abortive, but it doesn't work for every attack. Plus that it is quite a weight to carry around. So that is why I use verapamil as a preventive. For me, it stops all the attacks. Only thing is, that it takes 1 1/2 week to start working after first taking it (for me). So when it works, I hardly even need the O2 anymore. Marijke
