My neuro has prescribed Topamax, start small and work up. BUT, in reading the directions, it warns about possible glaucoma side effects. Since I already have glaucoma, I object. She says "Oh, it doesn't usually happen." Glaucoma is too scary to risk. Has anyone taken Topamax?

Yes I have taken it...it was effective for a few weeks, and then the beast took over again. I agree with you that the "Glaucoma" factor is too risky. It's fine & easy for your Doc to say that "it doesn't usually happen", but it is your eyesight at risk. S

I took topamax. It made me completely crazy for three days and then messed me up in various ways for several months. (I stuck with it) It never helped my CH at all. This might be the worst drug I ever took. I am chronic which might make a big difference. If you are episodic it might do some good.
