Shrooms and shadows and how I found my trigger

As I have said here before, I left my shroom treatment late and suffered for it. I had to redose twice and still the nature of the attacks didn't change as much as last year.

But I am all right. Instead of meds I take nothing, instead of pain I get shadows (kips 2/3) which are really rather comfortable to live with. Lately the level has been going up to 4, however, with my teeth aching again. If that does not happen too often I will not redose because my episode should come to an end soon and maybe these were the last twitches.

But it did prove to me that the episode was there; it also led me to believe (all right, BobP, it IS anecdotal I agree) that this episode would have been more severe had I not taken shrooms at all.

'Nother proof of the beast's ability to bite if provoked I got last night. I discovered my first trigger. Liquorice. I never eat that normally, for I am too fond of it; I always overindulge so I never even buy it. But I was given a package.

I was watching television with a eminently bearable Kip 3, munching liquorices, when suddenly, wham!
From Kip 3 to Kip 6 pushing 7 in a few seconds.

I set a new personal  record by going from 0 to 10 m/p/h in as many seconds, to reach the bedroom with my trusty O2.

The rest of the liquorice is in the waste bin now. Never again.

And for the collectors of facts (thinking of you, Ueli) the sweet contained liquorice extract, sugars and other carbohydrates, gelatin E 485, aroma E 153, salmiak salts (?) and some beewax.
