O.K. I have reasearched the shroom therapy and I think were are going to go ahead and try it, but I have also research the growing of shrooms. This seems so complicated and confusing, where can I find the easiest way to go about it? If anyone has advice please feel free to help out. Another quik question, how much money should we plan to invest, what has everyone else invested?

First: Here's a link to an easy growing guide: http://www.fanaticus.com/pf-tek.htm I didn't use the dual chambered terarium. I just got a big, maybe 1 1/2 x 2 foot, plastic tub with a good lid (rubbermade) and filled the bottom with pearlite. Costs: spore syringe - $13 vermiculite & brown rice powder - $7-8 jars - $10 terarium - $15 perlite - $5 some "Damp-Rid" in a plastic tub that I set inside a tupperware container and used as my drier - $10 So we're looking at $75 max. Turned out a crop of B+, enough for 20-25 doses.

Ok, thanks. Can I pick this stuff up anywhere? I know where to get the spores, but does everyone use just the B+ Strain?? Where did you get your spores??

If you've done your research, you probably have seen the links at http://www.headachesupportgroups.com/shrooms/index.htm Unfortunately, most of the links to spore suppliers and growing instructions are no longer valid. That is one section of the site that needs to be updated. So... I have put together a standard info package that has all the info you need, with up-to-date links to reliable spore vendors, and to the best online growing manuals available. I have included both the "traditional" method of growing in mason jars and terrarium, and also the "new" simplified method of growing in plastic bags. Both methods are much simpler to DO than to read about, especially the new bag method. I do not exaggerate when I say that a bright ten year old child could do either method successfully. xxplosive, I have sent you an e-mail with all this info, and would be happy to do the same for anyone else looking for the same information. pinky

I got my spore from HawksEye. There are many strains available and he has good info on what grows best and is most potent (if this is important). It was easy and fun. Brought back memories of the days with the growlight in the closet. I did feel a little uncomfortable when I dosed and my 23 year old daughter asked me if I was trippin'. BTW - save your empty spore syringe in case your decide to print some of the shrooms for future crops. Trying to by a syringe in the store is tough. I threw mine out and later wound up finding a good syringe for injecting flavor into meat and foul that you're cooking. Doesn't look like I'll be using it though.

Hi Bob, You can get all kinds of syringes and needles at feed stores. Of course...I don't know if there are feed stores in big cities, I live in cow country. You could also try a vet clinic...tell them you are using them to inject paint onto something or something like that. Also, xxplosive, I know Pinky sent you an e-mail with these spore suppliers, but I'll put them here too, just in case others want to know and don't e-mail pinky for some wierd reason These are 2 of my faves: http://www.lilshopofspores.com/ and http://www.geocities.com/freesporering2002/ Lots of selection. Good luck, Mast
