Could NON-TREATED morning glory seeds possibly stop CH's???? I was reading on some website that morning glory seeds have a chemical called LSA that is extreamly similar to LSD. If LSD stops the beasts what would prevent LSA from doing the trick? Maybe I was reading bad info and I don't know what I'm talking about.. but it's something to be checked out... Bob ???

Very smart question, Bob. I don't know of any clusterhead who has tried LSA, but I believe there is an excellent chance it would work. Check out these post from last September: http://www.clusterheadaches.com/wwwboard/messages2/111673.html http://www.clusterheadaches.com/wwwboard/messages2/111676.html Look at how similar these two substances are in chemical structure: http://www.erowid.org/cgi-bin/chem_compare/chem_compare.cgi?LM=%2Fchemic als%2Flsa%2Fimages%2Farchive%2Flsa_3d_mid.jpg&RM=%2Fchemicals%2Flsd%2Fimages%2Farchive%2Flsd_3d_mid.jpg A little later in September of 2001, someone else posted that 5-MeO-DMT may work as well as psilocin. 5-MeO-DMT is very similar to psilocin, but is not illegal. Here is a molecular comparison between the two: http://www.erowid.org/cgi-bin/chem_compare/chem_compare.cgi?LM=_pl_mushr ooms_ia_psilocin_3d_mid.jpg&RM=_ch_5meo_dmt_ia_5-meo-dmt_3d_mid.jpg So far I know of no one who has tried it. Although it is not illegal, it is not like you can walk into your local drugstore or high school chemistry lab and pick some up. You would have to order it from a company specializing in research chemicals. For those of you who may be wondering WHY psilocin should work on clusterheads (a condition known to be associated with abnormal levels of serotonin), here is a comparison of molecules of psilocin and serotonin: http://www.erowid.org/cgi-bin/chem_compare/chem_compare.cgi?LM=_pl_mushr ooms_ia_psilocin_3d_mid.jpg&RM=_ch_other_ia_serotonin_3d_mid.jpg Here is a comparison of bufotenin (found in the skin excretions of several species of toads) and serotonin: http://www.erowid.org/cgi-bin/chem_compare/chem_compare.cgi?LM=_ch_bufot enin_ia_bufotenin_3d_mid.jpg&RM=_ch_other_ia_serotonin_3d_mid.jpg Interesting, no? I believe there is an excellent chance that all three compounds will work as well as psilocybin mushrooms and LSD, maybe even better, but LSA is the easiest of the three to obtain. Many people have also suggested that mescaline would work as well as mushrooms or LSD. Mescaline is contained in the San Pedro cactus and in the Peruvian Torch cactus, both of which are perfectly legal and can be obtained from numerous plant nurseries. pinky

Hmmm.. interesting... I do hope it does work. The more options, the better... BUT i read, regular morning glory seeds are treated with chemicals that will intentionally make you sick if you try to use it to get a "trip".. Therefor you have to buy UNTREATED seeds.. I also read if you wash ur seeds carefully that would work to.. The problem is, i didn't read anything about how much you have to take in order to get any effects... its something to be researched.. Anything to help the cluster head community..... Bob
