I've been depressed lately (longer than usual cycle) and came across L-tryptophan (an amino acid) info for depression. It sounds like it is a precursor to melatonin with the additional effect of improving mood. What (if any) have been your results??? Think I may try it. This depression is starting to get the best of me. D*mn weather isn't helping either (blizzard warnings) and I'm sick of winter too!!!

Mr. Spock tried Vulcan mind meld during one of my K10 hits. You saw how he reacted on TV... then the movie "he's dead Jim"... But he came back....

I believe that some of the energy drinks that I've consumed may have had this amino acid. I can not comment on it specifically because of this combination in the drink. Another mood elevator is 5-Hydroxytryptophan or 5-HTP, a precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin. I've taken this in the past and seems to elevate your mood. There is some contra indications to taking it in combination with other drugs...........so beware and proceed with caution if you wish to try it. Check it out here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5-hydroxytryptophan Good luck, John
