OTC Treatment For Shadow Stages - OK w/o DR?

Hi All,

Was PF for close to a month and a half (after nine killer months). Was almost weened off all my meds, drinking happily  beer, and feeling good. Went on a very relaxing vacation, and have been hit with some eye twitches and shadows. (I think relaxation, along with stress, are both triggers).

Starting back up  on my normal RX regime. Wondering what your thoughts are on throwing 310 MG Magnesium and 1 MG of melatonin into the mix without seeing my Doctor. He's previously been unenthusiastic about any non-RX therapies and normally says, "you can try".

I'm on Lithium and Verapamil, and will add Doxepin back in as well. Thoughts?

Not a bad idea, but you'll probably need more than 1 mg of melatonin, most folks use from 9-18 mgs.  But you should let your doc know that you are taking these things in case there is a potential for drug interactions.

I can only speak to the lithium, I use 1200 mg when on cycle, I take magnesium supplements on and off cycle and haven't had any problems.

Always best to run the stuff past the doc though as my knowledge of pharmaceuticals is a whisker limited! Wink
