An Information Source about Cluster Headaches

I haven't seen a post about the Medifocus Guidebook on Cluster Headaches, so I thought I'd post the URL. It's $22.95 to read online or download for a year, and is updated sporadically (most recently in October, usually once or twice each year). It contains lots of medical research references, so it's a bit academic. Still, I have found much of the information well summarized and consistent with other Web sources. You can get a summary of how the guidebook is laid out at http://www.medifocus.com/cluster-headache-guidebook.php?gid=NR019&a= a. With all the free stuff available on the Web, I'm not sure you'll find anything really new here (except recent medical study results), but it's a lot of reliable information in one place. It's not for everyone, but I believe it's worth a trip to the Medifocus website to check out.

While I admit I didn't do a lot of research on this site...it would appear to me that this: Quote: the causes of this condition common signs and symptoms medical tests that are used to establish the diagnosis standard treatments available treatment options promising new developments quality of life issues questions to ask your doctor |
| is pretty much covered right here on OUCH. For free. Because lots of intelligent people, for free have done their homework, for free and contributed to it. For free. But then again I could be wrong. Maybe there is more "out there" that we don't know.

Hi Linda, No argument here: Quote: With all the free stuff available on the Web, I'm not sure you'll find anything really new here (except recent medical study results), but it's a lot of reliable, current information in one document. It's not for everyone, but I believe it's worth a trip to the Medifocus website to check out. |
| The main reasons I like it is the ability to download it as a pdf and work with it offline, and to have lots (clearly not all) information in one tidy document. Like I said, it's not for everyone.

I'm a bit confused. When introduced to this site it was with address: http://www.medifocushealth.com/NR019/index.php This site has the same information but is free. I don't that it's a 100% duplicate of the for pay site but still very good resource. On this free site you do have the option of buying a print copy of the same material which is available in the site linked in the first message, here.

| Bob, I am also confused. I went looking for that link last night and couldn't find it. I should have checked my own messages. Thanks for posting! Bruce
