Anyone have any tricks to making these better? I was in a meeting at work the other day when I started getting the tingle in my heels and the only thing that helps is banging my feet on the floor. Which I did under the table

When I was doing this, I reduced my dosage and mixed in some verapamil. For me, 50mg of Topomax was tolerable and no tingling. This cocktail worked pretty good. Eventually went to all Verapamil.

I take 50 mg of Topamax night and morning - not a large dose and yet my hands and feet "buzzed" quite alot at first - less now I have been on it longer. Also you do get used to the feeling and become more able to ignore it. Saffy

Hi, they seem to pass after a while, as I remember it was about 6 weeks or so in my case.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

If I remember right. It is the lack of potasium. Eat a couple of bananas a day. PS Topamax was not a good drug for me. Lee

Taking the whole dose at night seemed to help. It is short term. Charlotte

I second what was said above about the potassium. The first time I tried topamax, I came off it because of the tingling in my feet. The second time, I had a new neuro, and he suggested eating more bananas and foods high in potassium, and I had no problem with the tingling after I did that! Best of luck! PF Wishes, Carrie
