Clustermasx help

Hi all, I'm sure this has been posted a few times already, but where can I get hold of a clustermasx? I tried to get my doc to give me a bubbler to stop me sounding like Darth Vader after a hit or two, but apparently it's not suitable for short burst oxygen therapy and now he won't give me the kind of mask that's required because I don't qualify for tht either. Grrr... My current mask is a normal one with two holes in it. Surely with my tank revved up to 15lpm, the holes defeat the purpose? The o2 is helping to bring the attack down to a kip 2/3, but I'm sure it would be more effective with the right equipment. Help someone! Em

www.clustermasx.com It sounds like what your doc gave you is a regular non-rebreather. The mask on those are pretty bad. What I do it take the mask off of the reservoir bag and throw the mask in the garbage. I just breathe directly from the reservoir bag. In through the mouth, out through the nose. Hope this helps B$

Em, Just put tape over the holes and make sure you hold the mask up to your face, don't strap it to your head. Even though this may help more, a tiny investment in a clustermasx is SO worth it and makes a big difference! Good luck!

Bite the bullet and buy a clustermasx. Also if you're now on a HOOF (Home Oxygen Order Form that your GP fills in) to get O2 at home you'll probably find your local oxygen supplier can be very helpful if you speak to them. All the best

Thanks for the tips all. BMonee - There isn't a bag on my mask - just a mask and a hose and that's it. It's pretty lame. I think I will just get a clustermasx myself. I am on a HOOF, but have to go to my GP for any little amendment to what I already have. Em

Just do a search online for a 02 mask - you can by them all day without a doctors approval. -Chris

This will work as good as the best of them until you get a Mask of the Gods.

That is amazing! I'm going to have a go at making that now. Unfortunately, I usually let my dogs have the cardboard tubes to chew, so I'm going to have to be extra careful with my new contraption. Thanks for the great advice all! Em

Hi Emily, Correct me if I am wrong, but last time I tried to get a clustermasx from the website I was told they are having problems with orders and payment processing. Check and see if it is back up and running.......I'd like to get one myself... Good Luck Alicia

I have used that contraption suggested by Mr Hap. It works well. Like he says, though, 'Dont drool, it shortens the useful life"
