I'm declaring victory once again. It's been over two weeks since my last dose of RC seeds and I've had one K-3 and a handful of 5-minute K-1 shadows since then. This was the third time, basically, I used RC seeds to suppress a cycle, . The first time was a combination of psilocybin mushrooms and seeds. Four buster doses total: shrooms one weekend, seeds the next weekend, then shrooms again and a final seed dose, if I remember correctly. The next cycle was suppressed well with three or four seed doses. This latest time was the most difficult, for a couple of reasons, I suspect. I tried to see how few doses I could get away with and still stay relatively pain free. I did one dose real early in the cycle, at the very first warnings (and I generally get a lot of warnings). Then I held off on a follow-up dose as long as I could. That was dumb. Then, when I did start to dose on a weekly basis, the usual dose size wasn't doing the trick. The seeds were apparently old, and losing their potency. I kept multiplying the dose, but I was still getting hit. Not daily K-7s, but I was getting a one or two k-6 attacks a week, and and three or four K-3 to 4. When I got a fresher batch of seeds and dosed weekly, three doses apparently sent the beast packing. So I learned a few things I should have already known: don't play games with the beast, hit him early and hard. And RC seeds don't store well. They seem to lose potency after about a year. (Shrooms, properly stored, can retain significant potency for three years or even longer). And I learned that, for me, taurine energy drinks like Red Bull help. Usually. one or two cans and the attack fades from a six to a three in 10-15 minutes, then slowly fades to zero in another half-hour. Usually. I also learned there are many more taurine drinks out there than Red Bull, and some of them cost less and taste better. I did some research on these taurine energy drinks and gathered some information I hope to be able to pass on to you all, if I can ever fathom the Net. And most importantly to me, it seems that taurine-caffeine energy drinks don't interfere with the 'buster treatment. I've used taurine drinks within a few hours before (and several hours after) dosing and the seeds still had the expected psychoactive and medicinal effect. But that's just me, and I've only heard a few other reports, so it's still way too early to tell. If so, taurine could be useful for detoxing and post-dose hits when using the buster method. -tommyD

Nice to have relief again Tommy. I recently did a maintenance dose with 1+ year old seeds I had stored in a refrigerator @ 40 degrees f.(forgot about them). They seemed to hold their potency better than the previous dose stored in a drawer.

Glad you have some relief, Tommy! WTG! As for storage of rc seeds, I don't know where I heard it (probably from Nani), but I store mine in a glass jar with a screw on top in the refrigerator. Do not store them in a little plastic re-sealable bag. My seeds are now slightly over a year old, I bought them last summer. In January, those 6 month old seeds completely busted a cycle for me, and I'm now on monthly "maintenance doses. That reminds me, I probably ought to order a new batch in a couple of months. Good luck and keep us posted. Sandy

Thanks for the kind words, folks. Quote:I also learned there are many more taurine drinks out there than Red Bull, and some of them cost less and taste better. | Well, it was a struggle, mainly because I'm too cheap to spend much on web site accounts and html editing software, but I managed to put up a page of information on energy drinks at: http://tommydfungus.googlepages.com/taurinepage1 It's clunky, not what I wanted it to look like, but after three days of wrestling with the Web Godz, I'm happpy just to get it up there. Let me know if it doesn't work for you. Hope it's useful. -tommyD

That page is awesome, Tom. Careful, too much energy drink research can lead to bursts of rambling, I hear.

Tommy, I've tried pretty much each and every brand of energy drinks I've come across back here in Finland. Red Bull was the first I tried and my second fave. It's great that energy drinks are helpful to you as well. It was amazing to see how many energy drinks you had on your list. I had a kid in candystore - feeling when I looked at them! Here's some links to energy drinks: http://www.thunder-energy.fi/ (energy drink which is blue) http://www.batterydrink.com/ http://staysmart.fi/ (for ED energy drinks) http://www.energydrink.li/ http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powerking http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_Energy_Drink http://www.madcroc.com/ http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pure_%28juoma%29 http://www.teho.fi/ http://www.reddevil.fi/redwhat Hope this helps! PF days, Sanna

Sanna - Thanks for the links. I will be adding most of these to the list. If only I read Finnish as well as you write English! But I think I can translate the ingredients lists well enough. I had heard of a couple of these, but decided not to include them. The "madcroc" stuff is made here in the US and it seems to have too little taurine to do much. In the US, ingredients are listed in order of most to least, and mad croc has less taurine than caffeine, which means not much taurine. I ran across more than one energy dribnk that had taurine listed on the label, but didn't contain enough to make much difference. Read the labels carefuilly. The "battery drink" site has lot of fancy animation, but little info that I could find. Wading through all that advertising hype gets real tiresome after a while. Thanks again, -tommyD
