Does anyone besides me think that having a bright TV flashing on your face all night while you're sleeping can mess up your melatonin and aggravate CH?

He says he can't fall asleep without the tv on. Remote doesn't have sleep button. I told him "you better get one" - it's hard trying to help someone sometimes. I just wondered if anyone has been told by a doctor to sleep in absolute darkness to keep melatonin level up?

I think TV glare or the flashes in a darkened room are a trigger for me. I can watch it it a well lit room no problem, but late at nite when the room is fairly dark I can feel ch coming on. Strausy

Hello SisterSue: I have problems with flickering/flashing light sources when awake. We don't have a TV in the bedroom, but I can imagine that it could affect sleeping in a number of ways. Good luck with the man in your life! Ray
