ok, after doing some reading on clusterbusters, I think I am ready to give shrooms a try. Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction for buying the simplist kit that wil allow me to produce my own. I'm not really the green thumb type so if there is an idiot proof kit out there to grow my own please let me know. Thanks Chris

Many folks have used pre-sterilized grow-medium bags with success. I managed to screw even this up, but I bet my thumb is blacker than yours. There is a link in the mushroom faq at www.clusterbusters.com/faq.html Please read the entire faq. Lots of stuff to know. -tommyD

| Which begs the question: Does one need a green thumb to grow a fungus? Perhaps a black thumb would be a benefit? I can't help myself. This crazy shit just occurs to me.

Chris, you can get most of your questions answered right here: http://www.clusterbusters.com/faq.html Scroll down to the section 3.2.1 and 3.2.1.1 where it has links to the mycobag site. There are also links to sites that have very thorough information regarding growing. Patti

hi chris, ive tried the shrooms, they work. cubensis is the best, u can get the kits from the us. it takes a brave man to take some when the headache is on but take only half a shroom, u can feel the pain and pressure just leak away when they kick in. trouble is every attack means another half so u end up tripping most of the time, no bad thing. good luck mate... pete

thanks for the reply pete. From what I have been reading, I thought you were justs suppose to do a larger dose every few months, I havent seen anyone saying to do small amounts for each headache, maybe i missed something. I'll go do a little more research! Thanks Chris

The general dosing recommendations are given in the faqs at clusterbusters.com, but there seems to be some confusion, so here's a brief outline. Whether seeds or shrooms, the idea is basicallly the same. Now understand that everyone is different, some will need more, some less, and some don't need a waiting period. If in cycle, the dose is less than half of a recreational dose, at intervals of at least four days, five is better. Dose until the cycle is gone or nearly so. Patience is a virtue (in my opinion, once the hits are significantly reduced, sometimes the cycle will fade on its own, whereas continued doising seems to keep things stirred up, tho at a minor level). For preventive purposes, the dose can be the same or smaller, perhaps a quarter of a recreational dose. A single dose is often all that is needed. A preventive dose is taken when you are not in cycle, or when there are the slightest, earliest signs a cycle is about to start. The abortive dose (the sip or sput technique), taken at the beginning of an attack, can often be very small, an eighth or a tenth (or even less) of a recreational dose. Tripping is not required, psychoactive effets are usually completely absent, and the waiting period is not necessary. Most folks have no real need to do any tripping in order to treat cluster headaches. The term "tripping" to me means significant psychoactive effects, with unmistakeable and unavoidable visual and auditory distortions. All you really need is enough for a mild "buzz," similar in intensity (tho different in quality) to a couple beers. Weak, American beers. As always, your mileage may vary. And please, read and study clusterbusters.com carefully and completely. -tommyD
