Neurology report on psilocybin research

Here is the full report on the effectiveness of psilocybin and LSD for Clusters.  I plan on giving this to my nuro.

Fun facts:
psilocybin effectiveness : 85%
psilocybin remission extension :  91%

Should be pretty intriguing stats for most doctors.

I have no position on this one way or another, but to be accurate, see the disclaimer in the last paragraph.

& also to be accurate, Psilocybin has pulled many ClusterHeads out of ClusterHell; with the least amount of medication and side effects.

The story of psilocybin to treat clusters goes back to 1998, when the idea was first posted to this website by a fellow named Flash.

The paper published in Neurology was inspired by reports, posted here and with the Clusterbusters, from clusterheads successfully using this treatment.

The Clusterbusters showed these informal reports to Sewell and Halpern and helped them contact clusterheads so a more formal study could be done.
An unscientific count of the informal reports match the results in the Neurology article fairly well.

This is really a treatment developed by clusterheads for clusterheads. It’s not the only one, either – the kudzu and taurine treatments are other, more recent examples.

Now Dr. Sewell is looking into RC and other LSA-containing seeds. Next up: actual clinical trials of indole-ring hallucinogens and related chemicals.
More specific, official announcements on this stuff should be forthcoming soon.

And disclaimers are often more about legalities and bureaucracies than about reality.

  Thanks for the history tommyD!

I had not heard of the indole-ring before.  Sounds like they are starting to understand why these chemical compounds are effective.  Real interesting reading:
