For me any narcotics could trigger CHs and they don't work as an abortive. Dave

well the furinal and i'm not spelling that right is a sedative of sort and the codine just made me happy i guess cause if i remeber corectly i took it more when i didnt have a ha,i havnt bothered with pain medication for years, partly because i use to think they made me sick to my stomach.then i realized i just do get sick if the pain is to bad so whats the point if i couldnt hold it down long enough to help.

Are you talking about Fiorinal?? It is a Migraine/tension headacha med and still has codiene. Butalbital is in it and it is a class of drugs called barbiturates. I take it it has helped with heavey shadows. Though I take it without the Narcotic. MYNM156
