Has anyone had any success with anti-seizure medication? Today my Neuro prescribed me Depakote, Medrol, and an Imitrex injector. Any thoughts on the Depakote and Medrol would be appreciated. Thanks

Anti-seizure drugs are common in treating CH. As with virtually every medication prescribed for CH they have side effects that you need to be aware of and alert for. Personally I have severe reservations with the potential for near instant/permanent liver damage from Depakote and refuse to take it but ultimately its a matter of personal choice - risk vs. reward. I know a lot of folks take it without any problems at all. The following links contain a lot of information pro/con for the drugs being prescribed for you. You have some personal homework and difficult decisions to make. http://www.drugs.com/ http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginformation.html Best wishes, Tom

Would the owner of the propane torch, egg beater, pipe expander and vise grips please claim these items. They're lodged in my head and I need the space.

Just yesterday I found a favorable report about the use of this class of meds in migraine--but with a footnote that the jury is still out re. use for CH. Nevertheless, folks are reporting good results in messages here.
