I am very sceptical of these claims, but I am also VERY interested in hearing your results! After all, who would have thought that kudzu would work so well for so many sufferers? I look forward to your results, good or bad. Chuck

I agree with chuck, we should stay a little more open minded to ideas so people aren't afraid to post them. If Bi-Polars hadn't also had CH they might not have ever stumbled onto my best prevent when I'm in cycle, Lithium. Please do let us know if it works for you. Is that the one that contains magnesium? I've been taking a magnesium supplement for several years and I swear it's helped the length and severity of my attacks. Wishing you luck and some pain free time. Guiseppi

Well, In my opinion, That site is bullshit, It claims it has been around for years but when you try to click on the medical research tab it says that information is not available! Also looks like that webpage was made up overnight! Pretty funny that its been around for years specifically for cluster headaches but nobody here has heard of them! Lmao What a fucking joke!

And it's certainly possible the products owner is a snake oil salesman. We should all unite and attack anything we discover is a snake oil salesman. Care should be taken when launching an attack at a member of the board who is asking about someting like this. If he had been a first time poster, offering to sell us a "cure" for this condition, then I agree there are no holds barred and we nail him to the nearest tree. Mr. Floor I will repeat what I said earlier, please let us know how it works for you. I've read enough of your posts that I certainly don't see you as a salesman. Just Guiseppi's 2 cents worth! I will let you know in about 22 more days so far I started taking the tabs about 8 days ago, and I wasn't taking my normal meds, cause I wanted to see if these things worked .But I was getting slamed with about 4 a day .Soon as I started taking my Calan again after 2 days the CH stopped . Since then I've gotten about 2 CH in the last week or so.So im 30 days I'm going to stop the Calan again to see if they worked cross my fingers .They say if they don't work I get my money back .The damn things were 180.00 for 2 months worth. Wish me luck. Dave

My concern about this product is the time frame it states to start working. 6-8 weeks is a "typical' cycle, (though we know there is very little that is typical about these damn things). So after a few 3-4 weeks of hell, and then start taking this, why...did the cycle end because of the pills, or just because the cycle ended on it's own? I always wish anyone luck when venturing on a new path, but this time frame thing is awful suspect. Thats just my humble opinion.

Well, the big question; Have there been double-blind studies of this done by a reputable research organization? If so, what were the results? If not, why not? I'm not a big fan of "alternative" medicine and consider it just another term for "doesn't work reliably or doesn't work at all." If it could be proven effective, it wouldn't be "alternative." Who knows, maybe this will turn out to be a miracle combination of herbs and spices that kills CH. I kinda doubt it though. Just my two cents worth Jack

Hokay. I've been Googling the ingredients they mention. The first one, Rauwalfia Serpentina, is a root supposed to be good for high blood pressure, insomnia, and believe it or not, snakebite. That sounds a bit "iffy", especially for snakebite. According to the WHO, there is some real evidence for this being useful in hypertension. The problem is that the Clustotab people aren't telling how much of this is in the pills. It could be a lot or it could be almost nothing. The next one, Santalum Album, is sandalwood. I'll admit it smells nice but that's all I've ever heard of it being good for. Makes nice incense. The last one, Coriandrum Sativum, is coriander or cilantro. Great for Mexican and Thai food but that's about it. One last thing. The site mentions that you can download a "clinical trial." Great, just what was wanted. When I went to get it, there was no clinical trial available. All in all, this doesn't sound like a winner. Pills full of coriander, sandalwood, and some kind of mystery anti-hypertension root root. An offer of a clinical trial summary but no actual information available. The exact proportion of ingredients is not given. In any event, those pills are overpriced by a factor of 100 unless they gave you a bushel of them. As an oh-by-the-way, the WHO mentioned that you need to take a diuretic with the Rauwalfia root or you'll start retaining fluid. I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade here, but draw your own conclusions. Regards Jack

don't know where the hell you are coming from unsolved but as far as the links part, They work just fine here as well. This is what I'm talking about: Clinical Research on Clustotab Clustotab is clinically proven to treat Cluster Headache successfully. You may download a summary of our clinical study in Adobe's PDF format. Click here for details. NOW, when you click on the link, THIS is what you get: Clinical Research Study The unique formulation of Clustotab is a result of extensive study and research. Clustotab is clinically proven to be a safe and effective treatment for Cluster Headache. To download the summary of a clinical research study on the effectiveness of Clustotab please click the link below. Clinical Study soon to be posted here (Size: 96 Kb) Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. So I guess you must have a Super Computer if you were able to get infomation from there. Please don't make accusations you can't back-up. I have no problem with you and none of my comments were directed to you. Unless of course that is your website. If your having a shitty day and felt the need to start some shit, Fine by me. Otherwise show me some proof that I'm wrong before you go off next time! Cheers. Oh and by the way, Where ever the fuck this comment came from is beyond me, Quote:And BTW, I would bet I know alot more about cluster headaches than you do! I've not only heard of them, I live with them. |
| But whatever floats your boat! We don't have a cure yet so as far as I'm concered we are all pretty much on the same page as far as knowledge goes. Ok I think I covered pretty much everything! Any more questions, feel free to ask!! Cheers

Unsolved,I've been going to diamond for about 12 years I've had 2 histamine desensitization treatments 1 lasted for 8 years the other lasted for 2 they were both pretty sucsessfull. My doctor would kill me if he knew I was taking those Clustotabs (URBAN) .But my cycle was so bad that I was willing to try anything, but after all this info I'm giving up.I'll just stick to my Calan and Imitrex.Sorry if I stirred up trouble. No need to apologize floor man. With the possible exception of your first response to the profane attack on you, (Probably how I would have responded to such an attack!) you have been a gentleman, clearly trying to get information from a group of people who share your ailment. I believe this is the primary purpose of DJ's board. Copntinue to ask away. As you've seen from some of the more civil responses on the board, there are many educated people on this board who will happily do extensive research, (see unsolved response), give you their personal experiences, (see Redds response), and do anything they can to help you. Wishing you luick and some pain free time. Guiseppi
