I've done dozens of steroid tapers, and even, (against the docors advice) went on steroids for about 2 months. I've gotten the pie face, the acne and the stomach upset but never anything like you've described. Definitely something to watch out for!!! Good luck to you.

I have done steriod tapers many times, and I do have the heart pounding and blood pressure increase, luckkily my bp is usually low so going up is not a problem.  But once I am off of the pred. those things go away.  Maybe though, they can have lingering effects.  I wouldnt let that stop me from going on them again though.  Its amazing the side effects we will put up with for some relief.

I do seem to have higher blood pressure and heart rate when doing steroids.

Have Adrenals checked by doing either a 4x's a day saliva test or do a AM morning blood drawl.  If your body is reacting to the steriods like that there is more going on.

Steriods will also cause glucose to raise, BP to raise, along with weight gain.  For many of us that use it it will also help with fatigue and brain fog.
